Colorado Parks and Wildlife · six Front Range profiles · records retrieved 1 November 2026

Six state parks, read straight from the official record.

Hours, fees, reservation windows and the points where Colorado Parks and Wildlife documents disagree with each other. Each entry carries its record date and says plainly what no source has confirmed. This is not a live-conditions service.

Littleton

Chatfield State Park

Reservoir recreation south of Denver, with the county line running through the main channel. The park's own document lists 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. hours and warns that capacity closures can close the gate; both facts carry the date of that document.

Timed-entry reservations apply on weekends from May through October. The reservation window, the fee notice and the parking arrangements each come from a dated CPW page; check the current conditions notice before setting out.

The rest of the six

Before you leave the house

  • Plan a Front Range park day

Published hours, timed-entry windows at Eldorado Canyon, dated fee notices, and the capacity cautions the sources actually print.

  • Check access and facilities

Which trails and piers CPW labels accessible, which facilities are named, and which questions still need a phone call.

How these records were built

Each profile draws on park pages, brochures and press releases published by Colorado Parks and Wildlife. Where a 2019 document, a 2023 management plan and a current page give different numbers, the profile keeps both and dates each one rather than picking a winner. Unknown attributes are marked unknown. Fees and fire restrictions change; treat every figure as a starting point for a check on the official page.

Record dates appear on every profile. The site is not affiliated with Colorado Parks and Wildlife.
